DescriptionThis peptide is amino acids 676 to 700 fragment derived from the second LXXLL motif of steroid receptor coactivator (SRC1), modified with Lys(Biotin) coupled to the C-terminus. Coactivator proteins interact with nuclear receptors in a ligand-dependent manner and augment transcription. A short amphipathic alpha-helical domain that includes this LXXLL motif serves as the interaction interface between the coactivator molecules and the ligand-dependent activation function (AF-2) located in the C-terminus of the nuclear receptor ligand-binding domain (LBD). Receptor binding domain of the coactivator SRC-1 is specifically recruited to the farnesoid X receptor (FXR) ligand-binding domain.
