Biological activities

BYL-719 is a potent and selective inhibitor of PI3Kα. The IC50 of BYL-719 against PI3K? is 5 nM. In vitro, BYL-719 inhibits the proliferation of breast cancer cell lines harboring PIK3CA mutations. In vivo, BYL-719 shows significant and dose-dependent anti-tumor efficacy in PIK3CA mutant xenograft models in rodents.[1]
