Biological activities

Dapoxetine, marketed as Priligy, is the first compound developed specially for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) in men 18-64 years old.^[1] Dapoxetine works by inhibiting the serotonin transporter with IC50 of 1.12 nM, increasing serotonin?? action at the post synaptic cleft, and as a consequence promoting ejaculatory delay. In vivo, dapoxetine can be used by 30-60mg/day in adults ^[2].
