Biological activities

Dyphylline is a xanthine derivative with bronchodilator and vasodilator effects. Dyphylline is also a moderately inhibitor of human microsomal prostaglandin E synthase (mPGES-1) with an IC50 of 200 mM. [1] Dyphylline is used in the treatment of respiratory disorders like asthma, cardiac dyspnea, and bronchitis. Dyphylline acts as an adenosine receptor antagonist and a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. Dyphylline is bound close to the PGH2 binding pocket of mPGES-1.[1]

Protocols

Dyphylline is diluted in DMSO.[1]
