Biological activities

SA-57 is fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH)/ monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL) inhibitor.[1] SA-57 inhibits fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) with an IC50 of 13 nM.[2] SA-57 has potent activity against two 2-arachidonoylglycerol hydrolases, MAGL and α/β-hydrolase domain containing 6 (ABHD6).[3] SA-57 produces time-dependent reductions in intracranial self-stimulation (ICSS) in mice.[1] In vivo, SA-57 selectively inhibits endocannabinoid signaling system (EC) targets without deleterious side effects in mouse.[3]
